A Transplant Recipient’s Story
The University of Chicago recently released a study showing that most doctors in the United States believe that spirituality has a positive effect on patients’ health.
Chicago resident Ben Mazonne would agree.
In 2001, he was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
There is no known treatment or cure for the disease, which slowly destroys the lungs… and can be fatal without a transplant.
Mazzone says his faith eased his struggle with the disease.
