Looking for an inspiring and educational weekend? We’ve got just he plan.

Tomorrow, Kelly Perkins, an internationally recognized author and the first heart transplant recipient to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, will join Donate Life Illinois and Secretary of State Jesse White in Naperville.

Kelly is the author of the critically-acclaimed book “The Climb of My Life” and will be discussing her story of reaching new heights as a transplant recipient and promoting organ & tissue donation.

On Saturday, Kelly will also be the guest speaker at the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois’ Living With Transplantation event out in Oak Brook. Transplant recipient, friends, family members and transplant candidates are encouraged to attend this fun and educational event. It will most certainly be a great opportunity to further educate yourself about transplantation as well as network with fellow transplant and hospital teams.
