Around the Nation Organ Donation Activity

It’s National Donate Life Month and we want to provide a couple posts highlighting all the great activity going on by our colleagues in other states as well as by general supporters and advocates. Drop us a comment since I’m certain to miss all the activity taking place in other states.

Here’s a quick highlight round-up and thank you all for continuing to spread the word on organ and tissue donation!

Donate Life Day 2009 (Jacksonville, FL) -I had the pleasure of connecting with event coordinator, Steve Vandergriff, who is putting this great event into action on May 2nd in downtown Jacksonville.

88 Stories of Caring, Compassion & Courage Scrapbook (Ohio) – The folks at Donate Life Ohio have pulled together this nice scrapbook to share with their drivers facilities, workplace partners, religious organizations, media partners and legislators during April.

30 Organ Donation Posts in 30 Days (Online) – Marijke Durning used to be a nurse before turning to writing. She’s tackling a project of writing 30 articles about organ donation (an article each day) throughout April to help call attention to the issue.

Donate Life Run/Walk Challenge (Fullerton, CA) – April 25 – Always a huge turnout for this big event which typically draws about 7,000 people to celebrate the gift of life!

What other great initiatives or events do you know about that are going on?
