The Ever Expanding Organ Donor Mascot Family

Mascots are an interesting bunch.

They’re quirky, fun, engaging and always in a good mood. Here in Illinois, we do get the occasional look of confusion when Morgan D’ Organ is strolling around at an event but most are quick to pick up on our big, lovable liver as a representative of our cause. Let’s be honest, there aren’t a whole lot of options for creating a organ donation mascot and he’s certainly more appealing than these guys.

Since Morgan, a few other states have jumped on the bandwagon with their own mascots. Here’s a quick snapshot of our evolving donor mascot family!

First there was Morgan D’ Organ

Then came Heartman

Dottie Dot appeared on the scene…

Honey Bee quickly followed suit…

And now, we’d like to introduce you to the latest member of the organ donation mascot family…drumroll…Donorsaur!

Fair warning, there’s a good chance you’ll be seeing these mascots together in the near future and I’ve heard rumors that they like to dance.

Stay tuned…

Seriously — it’s pretty easy to see that Morgan D’Organ is the hottest among them…
