Open-Hearted: A Heart Transplant Recipient’s Letter to Her Donor

Last month we posted some behind-the-scenes photos of our video shoot with heart transplant recipient Melissa Simon. Today, is the fun part. We’re excited to unveil our latest video, Open-Hearted.

Again, special thanks to Melissa for sharing her story and helping us pay tribute to Chloe.

The video is also over here on YouTube if you’d like to share the link.

No, cavedars are not used in joint replacement. They are usually artificial parts made of metal and plastic. (I am a Surgery nurse) I have 2 bad patellas that the cartilage is worn away and was told that just a knee cap replacement does not do well. I thought I would check the internet and see if there was a possibility of a cadaver replacement. I was not told of that option. I will now talk to my Dr about it and I am sure it is only done at select hospitals as Mayo. goodf luck to you , i am interested in your progress
