It’s Olympics Time! Support Chris Klug!

I love the Olympics. In fact, some would say I’m mildly obsessed. How can you not be?!

This Olympics will be particularly exciting for the donation community as professional snowboarder Chris Klug hits the slopes to compete in the Parallel Giant Slalom event. For those that are unfamiliar, Chris received a lifesaving liver transplant back in 2000. Following his transplant, he went on to win a gold medal in the event mentioned above at the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. There was even a documentary film created that captured Chris’ experience.

Chris has been an incredible advocate for organ donation and joins a talented snowboarding team to tackle gold in Vancouver this year.

Through the Chris Klug Foundation/Donor Dudes outreach, Chris is constantly helping spread the word about organ/tissue donation. Be sure check out his Facebook page and you can also follow Chris on Twitter as he shares his Olympic experience in real-time.

Best of luck to Chris and the entire U.S. Olympics Team!

i think its great that you continue to do what you love. You are a great role model for everyone. I know, my son turned 8 last month and he recieved his liver in April 2008. i encourage him everyday that it doesnt mean you have to give up your dreams and aspirations. and I truly believe one day he will be in the Army like he wants. I wish you a happy and healthy future. And good luck with your career.
